About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get across country, specifically to San Diego, while enjoying the sights along the way:)

ABOUT ME

I'm very adventures, as I would think most couch surfers are, and excited to meet new people. I find myself easily appeased with little accommodations, good conversation and generally just the world around me. I love people and look forward to bringing good tides wherever I go. I'm open to all ideas and lifestyles and hope to view everything that I'm confronted with without biases.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what ever you want, as long as you don't hurt yourself or anyone else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking for hospitality for my cross-country journey so that I can pass on the good tidings once I land and set up shop.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, well none done with the use of couch surfers. I found couch like accommodations in Paris, a group of very nice Chinese students put me up for a few weeks, and in Boston, where a friends brother allowed me a couch residence for a couple of months. I'm looking to make my couchsurfer debut in the up coming week.

Interests

My interests revolve largely around people; I have a bachelors in psychology and hope to use my formal education in conjunction with my personal studies of world history, current trends and the technologies of the future to help mankind progress into a better tomorrow. A little intense I know, however on the lighter side, I enjoy playing soccer (which mostly involves me juggling the ball by myself, but more preferably with others), listening to music as well as occasionally attempting to create some of my own, sharing ideas and thoughts with others and, most of all, being creative and generating something whether physical, emotional or spiritual. It really all comes down to enjoying life and those who live it, as long as I'm doing that than I'm interested.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First of all, if you look closely at my profile picture than you will notice that there is a large stack of bones forming a wall behind me, I know a little creepy, but this picture was taken in the Catacombs in Paris. I plotted and planned for months while reviewing old maps of the underground area of this old city so that I could visit the legendary tunnels. I took my best friend who was visiting only for a short while into this forbidden area to get a once in a lifetime look at the dark past of Paris, who only few ever see.
That same best friend and I where also on a trip in Negril, Jamaica were we got to visit, what we referred to as "The Weed-Fields". As I do when traveling to any foreign land, I made friends with the natives who gave us a first hand look at Jamaica's most famous commerce, Ganga. This was an hour and a half drive through the hills, followed by a 2 hour walk further up hill while, encountering native workers holding machetes and huge wild animals. The glory of this experience was to hear the story of the man who lived on this mountain side farm; his perspective on reality and life lives with me still.
Another valuable lesson learned was when visiting Casablanca. Never have I ever found myself in a situation where I was so readily identified for being different. I just remember walking on to the beautiful black sand beach laying down my blue towel and looking around to see hundreds of male-only-eyes staring at me and my pail skin. If I ever felt humbled by being a minority, this was that profound moment.
