ABOUT ME

We are friends who met our freshman year at Loyola University in Chicago. While living together sophomore year we decided to study abroad together in Ireland. We currently study at Dublin City University and are hopeing to see a lot of Europe while we are abroad.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe in getting the most out of life and not denying ourselves any pleasures or opportunitues...as much as is possible on a college student's budget. We are easy going and love having fun and know how to make the best of any situation and enjoy whatever life gives us.

We are new to Couchsurfing, but look forward to the experience of meeting new people and traveling.

Interests

Alex: I'm interested in rugby, sports, physics, the outdoors, Irish culture, learning languages, bike riding, traveling, history, reading, having fun, and experiencing new things.

Sarah: I like history, music, playing guitar, running, going out and having fun, hiking, cats, irish dancing, traveling and meeting new people.

movies: saving private ryan, ferris bueller's day off, titanic, the notebook, the patriot, 300, top gun, pulp fiction, and many others

music: bright eyes, blink 182, green day, U2, kid cudi, lil wayne, the rubber bandits, gaelic storm, much more rock, rap and traditional irish music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have been blessed to be able to travel so much at such a young age, the combined places we have seen include all over Irealand, Enlgand, Scottland, Portugal, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Canada

Sarah: as part of my high school's marching band, I performed in New years parades and celebrations in London, Paris, and Chantilly.

Alex: In grade school, my class took a trip to Washington DC where I had the chance to carry the wreath up for the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Teach, Learn, Share

we have learned soo much about irish culture over the past 4 months and are excited to share our experiences with others. as part of thee international community at our college we have made friends with people from so many places such as Australia, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Ireland, and people from across America. it has also made us realize the fun things that can be learned about other countries such as funny slang, songs, and fun places to go on a night out.
