ABOUT ME

Hi there!
So, I was born in Ankara, Turkey to very adventurous parents. Luckily, with them, I was able to see many countries before I was 18, ranging from Morocco to Norway. In 11th grade, I decided that I would like to study in New York City to be close to the film industry. Now, I'm studying in New York University as a communications major (basically advertising and marketing) and a movie production minor.

I love traveling and meeting with new people from all over the world. What else can a person want? :)

PHILOSOPHY

Even though I think that university education is very important, I also think that traveling and meeting new people makes you more aware of what goes on around you. By learning about different cultures, you are informed about world news. I feel that I have a lot to learn, but I will learn enough eventually.

I learned about this website and thought it would be a different experience for me. I try to host people as much as I can and as much as much schedule allows me. I am also excited to couchsurf myself, which I think would be great.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A month ago, as a group, we went to Czech version of carnaval, called Fasanky. We went to these two small towns in Southern Moravia, very close to the Slovakia border. I had never seen anything like it, where there is a parade and everyone in a house is presenting you with a drink and food. It was very eye-opening on how people are very hospitable even though the people they serve are strangers. I also got to see some polka, which was very interesting. The people were dressed in traditional clothes and dances in the festive atmosphere.
