About Me

Hey I'm Durgesh,

I’m originally from Bihar, but Delhi has been home for the last four years. I dropped out of my UG degree at DU to start working early, and honestly, that decision shaped me more than any classroom could have. I’m currently working in the education industry, exploring how learning, people, and real-world experiences come together.

I’m someone who loves conversations that go beyond small talk — culture, travel stories, random life observations, anything that makes you think or laugh. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds because it pushes me to see the world in new ways.

I’m pretty easygoing, respectful, and clean. I don’t need much to feel comfortable — just good vibes, good people, and maybe a cup of chai. In return, I bring thoughtful conversations, genuine curiosity, and a sense of gratitude for every host who opens their home.

Travel, for me, isn’t just about places. It’s about the stories you collect and the people who leave a tiny mark on your journey. If you’re someone who values that too, we’ll get along really well.

Let’s share stories, perspectives, and maybe even a few unexpected life hacks along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet real people, not just tourists. I want to experience places through locals, learn from their stories, and build connections that go beyond a quick trip. I believe Couchsurfing makes travel more human and more honest.

Interests

I’m interested in people, culture, long conversations, and discovering small human stories in every city. I enjoy exploring local food spots, walking around new neighbourhoods, and learning how others see the world. I’m also into travel, education, and anything that teaches me something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste is pretty open. I love calm music for evenings, Bollywood classics, and anything with good lyrics. I enjoy books that teach you something new about life or people. For movies, I’m into drama, light comedies, and anything that leaves a message.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my UG degree and starting my career early. It pushed me outside my comfort zone, made me grow fast, and taught me more about life than any classroom ever could. Also, moving to Delhi alone at 18—big step, but worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Hindi, basic sales skills, and a few life hacks I’ve learned while living alone in Delhi.
Learn: New cultures, languages, cooking styles, and personal philosophies.
Share: Stories, travel experiences, and a lot of laughter over chai.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversations, respect for their space, and a calm, easygoing presence. I’m clean, responsible, and grateful for anyone who opens their home. I can help cook, share local Indian tips, or just be good company after a long day.
