About Me

Basic Survival, possibly with a side of beer.

i am a compulsive knuckle-cracker. i enjoy being barefoot and riding my bike. i am genderqueer and fabulous and radical!

knowledge accumulation, utilitarianism, making a positive difference in the world

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I love hosting - meeting new friends from different places is super fun, and I love showing travelers a good time in Richmond (or as we fondly call it, FIST CITY.) more surfing in my future?

i've stayed with a number of amazing people who given me experiences i never could have found otherwise. i've done a lot more hosting so far, which i really enjoy! i don't have much but i share what i can. i've made some great friends through cs... it's really special to me.

getting lost, cats, beers, sewing, idyllic community structures, frequent nudity, primitivism, beekeeping, home brewin, VW vanagons, screen printin, real-life performance art, rivers, streams, ethics, tattoos that other people have, forward motion, replicas and reinterpretations, skydiving, colors, characters, culture, portraiture, drawing, altars, gender theory!, chess, street art, building things, porch chillin

Music, Movies & Books

recent listening may 2014- swans, aesop rock, ty segall, busdriver, tame impala

fiction books- kurt vonnegut above all. david foster wallace, gg marquez, pynchon...

theory- bell hooks, anzaldua, j butler, simone de beauvoir...

i like reading about gender theory most of all. i also like reading about language theory(particularly queer linguistics and descriptivism), laymans neuroscience, and food.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Most amazing experience ever: Skydiving. Hands down. I want to get my license so I can jump all over the world :) :)

Teach, Learn, Share

i love skillsharing! some things i know about: screenprinting, home brewing, sewing, intentional communities, painting, woodworking, gardening....
things i want to learn more about: everything i mentioned above, sustainable building, permaculture, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, primitive skills generally

SERIOUSLY i love sharing knowledge. free (not just costwise, but free as in uninhibited) education is the best.

Countries I've Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland

Countries I've Lived In

Sweden, United States
