About Me

CURRENT MISSION

relax. without being lazy

ABOUT ME

I'm a student, world traveler, amateur linguist, aspiring writer and director, and in my opinion, not a bad cook. Though originally hailing from Arizona and New Mexico, I've lived in Germany and China for the past year, and I'm planning my return to the US sometime in the beginning of August to finish my degree.

I enjoy the outdoors and physical activity in general - the more strenuous the better. I also love animals, especially dogs.

Food is worthy of it's own special section; I grew up in New Mexico, and am therefore capable of eating some scalding hot chili, which skill was honed by the time I spent in Sichuan eating things like hot pot and ma po tofu. That doesn't mean I only like spicy stuff, however. I've tried a lot of wild foods and I can enjoy almost any cuisine. I also love to cook. I normally cook for myself rather than eating out, and I follow a pretty strict Paleo diet (ie, no processed foods, no sugar), though I think it'd be a silly shame to miss out on the majority of the world's best foods by never breaking the rules.

I suppose I should stop talking about myself now. Someone said (I think Rousseau) that it's impossible to write an honest autobiography. By that principle, I think the more I write about myself, the more likely I am to give you a false impression of who I am. Therefore it's better to meet me in person so you can see for yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

If you can talk you can sing and if you can walk you can dance.
