About Me

I'm an eccentric but super friendly Aussie traveller who will be in Europe for, well, a long time I hope! I'm pretty much here just roaming around being me, learning and observing as much as I can, finding ideas and inspiration, meeting as many rad people as possible, having endless amounts of fun, all those good sorts of things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To gain a local insight to the places that I travel, and I feel as though people who would let a stranger like me just come and stay at their house would surely have to be very chill and open minded, and those are the kind of people I like to spend time with.

Interests

Well, I'm a musician and just an all round sort of arty dude. I sing and I play guitar. I write music and write other stuff. I can draw pretty good I guess. I love being outside and hanging out in natural environments, creeks and rainforests being my favourite of these environments. Music festivals are probably my favourite thing in the world, especially ones that go above and beyond simply just being there watching bands in a field. Anyways I've probably written enough for now! If you wanna find out more you'll just have to host me! Hehe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huuuuuge music head. I was raised on classic rock and folk, but my tastes now branch out to virtually every twig on the musical tree. These days you can find me listening to anything from Bossa Nova to Beethoven, Klezmer to Kendrick Lamar, Muddy Waters to Major Lazer, you get the idea. Don't ask me what my favourite band is unless you want to be stuck with me rambling for the next four hours.

Some of my favourite movies would be: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Pulp Fiction, Brazil, Forrest Gump, Dead Poet's Society, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange.

Some of my favourite books: Siddhartha, The Alchemist, Ishmael, On The Road,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood outside barefoot in Iceland without batting an eyelid.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not quite sure what this section is asking me to write, but teaching, learning and sharing are all things I'm a big fan of and will willingly partake in. Especially sharing. Let's share stories, share a beer, share a laugh, share bodily fluids! (just kidding).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share plenty of smiles, I can sing for you if you wish, maybe have a jam with you if you're musical too, even if you're not as well I suppose! I can do your dishes and whatnot, I can cook for you, my cooking is a bit hit and miss, but when it's a hit it's really a hit! I can remove any scary critters from the house because I'm Australian and therefore fearless. Oh! One thing I love doing is sharing local music from one another's countries. There's so much amazing music in Australia that people overseas never get to hear that I think they should. I can only imagine your country is the same, and I want to hear it! All of it!
