Overview
About Me
I'm always looking forward to my next traveling adventure. I grew up learning everything I could about computers. I'm also a gearhead with a passion for unique and quirky old cars, and Italian motorcycles.
I've road-tripped Route 66 in a 1962 Rambler American station wagon, motorcycle toured from Chicago, IL to Sturgis, SD, hiked 600+ miles on the Appalachian Trail including 70.5 miles through The Great Smoky Mountains, bicycled the Virginia Creeper Trail, and canoed 150+ miles on the Shenandoah River.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm Couchsurfing to meet new people, learn new things, have new experiences, and get more enjoyment out of traveling.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove a 1962 Rambler American station wagon from Oceanside, CA to Chicago, IL along Route 66. It was a tour of American auto parts store parking lots as it ran into issues in almost every state along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot of knowledge about the history of computers, the Internet, Unix, hacking, and phone phreaking, and historic 'Independent' American auto makers to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with computers and provide first hand knowledge on many methods of travel as well as camping and backpacking gear.
