About Me

I want to see the world from the perspectives of the people that live around it; experience and capture cities with locals and other travelers.

I grew up in a small town an hour outside of Toronto and was born in Alberta, Canada. I've been living in Toronto the past 6 years and travelled as much as possible in between work and school. I'm a filmmaker and music lover. I'm a filmmaker/editor and am shooting a documentary about my travels; looking for people to travel with as I shoot and document the Couchsurfing experience.

I've travelled around Europe and all over the US. I love movies and TV shows and have a good ear for music and variety of tastes. I like anything from electro house and folk, to jazz and classical - I just appreciate good art and am open to new things. I love to go to music festivals and dance my face off. I play a few instruments and enjoy DJ'ing and producing music in my spare time.

I know how to speak fluent French from public school immersion when I was younger and am always glad to practice it. I'm a big fan of all sports in general, but hockey would have to be my favourite. Sometimes I also follow soccer, football, and basketball - depends who's on strike and whether playoffs are on. I'm drawn to learning new things and meeting new people and am open to new experiences.

I want to show the world how fun and easy travelling can be when you don't spend all your money on hotels, hostels, and fancy restaurants. I enjoy meeting new people and creating friendships.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I plan to travel most of the world that I can with CS and document my experiences with my hosts. I believe it's truly the best way to travel and see different places around the world.

When you travel, if you want to meet people you will. Within my first couple of days in Prague I met a group of friends from all over the world at my hostel that all knew each other from a previous French program they'd taken together. Luckily I knew French and we were all able to spend the next couple days together. The following Christmas, one of the girls I met back in Prague stayed at my condo in Toronto with some friends while I was away for 2 weeks. My roommates got along with them splendidly and all had great experience together without knowing each other before. Now she will return the favour next time myself or my roommates go to Germany!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was really cool to see how the Grand Canyon in person. No photograph could capture its enormity. I got and understanding of how many years of erosion had to happen to get where it is today. It was like sitting on the edge of a giant Earth scar, too cool!
