Couchsurfers generally share my trust in the goodness of people and otherwise make a random mix of folks from all walks of life - a top combo.

When in a new place, I really prefer hanging out with locals rather than playing tourist on my own or with other backpackers. Please save me from the folks at the nearby pub.

Couches are not my priority. They are less entertaining than people. Also, they tend to have more breadcrumbs. Unless you've got a huge beard. If you do, just unread that.
