ABOUT ME

I am 56, a business consultant, and an adventurous traveler. I have always preferred camping or staying with locals to staying in hotels, exploring the countryside or city streets to visiting tourist attractions, and getting to know the local culture.

I love my current home of Santa Fe for its history, mix of Anglo, Hispanic, and Native American infuences,lots of public art and live music, and physical surroundings. I spend a lot of time hiking and camping in the surrounding area.

PHILOSOPHY

"Who are you and what do you want?" are the two most important questions in life. Unfortunately, most of us just put them on our answering machines and forget about them.

I love hiking, camping, rafting, live music (esp. jazz), browsing the galleries on Canyon Rd., good food including my own, gardening, great conversations about the meaning of life and where next for conscious evolution, and of course travel.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Snorkeled the barrier reefs of Belize from a traditional fishing vessel, rafted the entire Grand Canyon, gone hiking cross country with a map & a compass in Denali National Park & Alaska's Chugach Mountains, run a marathon, met Forrest Fenn (the guy who's in the news for burying a treasure chest somewhere in the mountains), played the piano in the Houston Coliseum, been twice around the Indy 500 racetrack, watched a spider molt, woke up in the night to discover a skunk in my tent (it had figured out zippers! Yikes!) and DIDN'T get sprayed,gone hiking with my cat in the wilderness, been scuba diving, skydiving, and spelunking, witnessed a meteor storm and a total solar eclipse, survived a bone marrow transplant, and appreciated the extraordinary beauty and grace of the tiniest moments of everyday life. The list is endless. My life is full of adventure.
