Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was walking in San Marco Square in Venice,Italy on Christmas Eve & met a group of people. A few are couchsurfers & through talking, we found out that we were on the CS site. The group became instant friends and I visited with four couchsurfers in two days. It has been an amazing experience so far & I look forward to hosting at my house!

Interests

I love country music, chocolate, Italian anything: vino, bread, pastry, pasta, history, art... learning to speak Italian more fluently, I love my family(two nephews, three neices), any beach, travelling...

'The Power of Now' by Eckardt Tolle, any Oprah magazine, 'The Happy Prince' By Oscar Wilde is my favorite book. 'Dangerous Beauty' is one of my favorite movies(takes place in Venezia during the 1500's).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done was after a trip with two friends to Italy/France, I booked a round trip ticket to Dublin(without a hotel when I arrived) for a five week stay. I travelled alone for five weeks to over 20 cities throughout Dublin, England, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Brussels and Scotland. I took 3200 pictures and emailed loved ones from internet cafes in every city.
This past holiday season(2005)I flew into Nice, France, rented a car and visited Monaco(LOVED IT), Monte Carlo, Venezia, Firenze, Roma, Cortona(LOVED IT HERE ALSO), the left Coast of Italy/Italian Riviera, walked the beach in Italy, drove up the left coast and back through the French Riviera!
