About Me

I'm a 20-year old who got introduced to travelling by my consistent trips throughout my home country of Canada whilst growing up. My first time travelling on my own was on a trip to Peru in which I spent 2-months doing jungle conservation volunteer work, and since then my mind has always been on what next I might get to see.

Interested in exploring the nooks & crannies of wherever I find myself, and meeting people that might care to share such information with an interested outsider. At my core, I'm an open-minded individual looking to experience new things, and share or do whatever I might be able to, with the like-minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As aforementioned, I want to travel more, as I've yet to barely see much at all of what each corner the Earth has to offer. In so doing I want to be enlightened by local knowledge, customs, and off-the-beaten-path areas in each place I visit. Furthermore, in a capacity that I might not get to experience in the event that I was pursuing more traditional accommodations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I maintain a particular concentration on foundational and political science fiction, but have a well-rounded interest and knowledge about all sorts of literary genres. My favourite book would either be Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, or The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I grew up reading comic books, cult classics like Dracula and Treasure Island, and a range of political philosophy, and in all of that found my vested interest in fiction, since then it's only branched out into more of a general interest for the written word, and lately I've focused on classical English and post-colonial literature in my readings.

As music goes, I simply love the plain existence of it. Whether it be local, classical, traditional, and heritage musics; the monumental modern developments and new musical technology innovations; or musical impacts on nations, peoples, and the development of identities and personas, I admire everything about the art of music itself. Currently I have a major interest in the genres of motown, R&B, blues, psychedelic rock, and jazz.
Some of my favourite artists include, but are not limited to: Marvin Gaye, A Tribe Called Quest, Aretha Franklin, Childish Gambino, The Beatles, The Pogues, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens, Madeleine Peyroux, and Joan Jett.
