ABOUT ME

I am a true indigo child; seeking freedom and noncomformity while living an alternative lifestyle with strong connections to earth and nature. I travel frequently and sporatically, often with no notice or plan of action. I spend most of my time outdoors in the forests, mountains, oceans, lakes, and rivers and enjoy nothing more than exploration. I continually explore the boundries of the planet as well as my own personal boundries, socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I am as laid back as they come but will stand for what I believe in. I live only in the moment.

I suppose if you really want to know what makes me tick then i encourage you to stand on the side of the road with your thumb out for 4 years straight. In the last 4 years i have hitched across canada 16 times, including through some minus 54 nastiness last winter from montreal to victoria. I have also rambled my way across 31 of the united states, my favouties being louisianna, tennessee, california and montana. I spend much of my summers in the northern reaches of the yukon and northwest territories and you may find that the magic of canadas north runs deep in my core. I am homeless, always, but find myself in houses quite frequently, usually renting a closet or a porch for a few dollars a month - if i manage to fight my incredibly itchy feet for that long. I am a freegan and am not shy to admit that i am heavily reliant on dumpster diving for survival. I play guitar, harmonica, and a little bit of banjo and have the hillbilly vibe surging through my system. I might also be confused for a raging hippie, a jock, a science nerd, and even a little bit queer - I assure you am am not one of these things, but all of them. I am strange, borderline weird, and some might even say interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

made it into rolling stone magazine. played on stage with a number of professional musicians in front of thousands. been the only person on the road for hundreds of miles walking along in minus 20 on route to the yukon. played with wild lynx, slept in a heard of bison, paddled the yukon and klondike rivers, been a highlight of a music festival as a member of the DCWB according to CBC, and proudly fathered a wild alaskan husky - she's still with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

well, i can teach you harmonica, fishing, hitchhiking survival, geology, meteorology, i can cut hair, i can show you how to use your camera to the best potential, show you, essentially, what it is to be a freegan without being a mooch, and ive got general knowledge on a varied and diverse range of topics - some of it needed, and some of it just general interest.
