About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am all about people. Ten years from now, we'll be much the same except for the books we read and the people we encounter.
ABOUT ME
Left the business world of getting and having things that would ultimately go anyway; gave it all away -everything: the paid-for house, fine furniture, Rolex; Mercedes, the career, portfolios and cash- to live radically simply (spoken of by Jesus in the Bible). Find myself more and more dependent on God; taken care of wherever I find myself on the planet, following, learning to live by my heart, to trust as Father (appreciate moreso as the dad I never knew), serving the poor in spirit and wallet, finding that Faith can be real- even for a former atheist, agnostic. It is likely easier to give up stuff (an event) than your whole heart (a lifetime pilgrimage, process). I wrestle still with trusting comprehensively- esp. suspicious of categorical [e.g. religious] people. God is good despite historical misrepresentation by religion; about Relationship; pioneers same with us; does not let us down. People have choices- ones we make are not always good as humans. I've been in many countries so far; adventurer by default (vs. my soul dying in a cubicle - and regrets). I'm an artist, a calligrapher, musician, a writer, a giver; receiver, a believer, realist and romantic- eternally optimistic in learning to live by radical, that is to say, normal Faith.
PHILOSOPHY
Personal philosophy changing all the time- I want never to get too calcified or brittle there...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I attempt to navigate by peace. If I don't feel right about something/someone, I generally will pay attention; go different route.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So not much as of yet- look forward to it tho'; have stayed in places often with people who are locals. Met one of the Couchsurfing employees- programmer cool guy on a train from London to Bournemouth, UK once; got me more interested...
Interests
Art, Music (am a pianist, violinist), adventure, swimming, cycling (when I can), Having real conversations over coffee or ciders, sitting with genuine folks, hearing their story; sharing their pain on occasion (had a rough go myself coming up), challenge people to think outside [our] norms/paradims/boxes...

What I Can Share with Hosts
Perspective, existential questions:
Where are we coming from?
Is there a point?
Is there something as concrete as “Destiny”?
So is there a moral baseline, truth?
What happens when it’s all over (I had a near death experience that got me thinking, looking into even quantum physics)?
