Hello!
I am Ece, born and grew up in Izmir, the 3rd biggest city of Turkey. After studying archaeology and art history at Istanbul I decided to take a gap year. It was probably one of the best decisions I have ever took in my life.
I have just came back from my first long-term solo trip to Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia- and now I am craving for more solo travel!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I first opened my Couchsurfing account when I was an exchange student in the UK. I was staying at the dorm and I was surrounded by students who were planning a trip during the Christmas Holiday by using Couchsurfing.
And yes, they encouraged me to open a Couchsurfing account. I am so happy that they convinced me to open one!
I have heard so many beautiful memories from people using Couchsurfing, I want to experience similar things, meet new people, hear their life stories, bring gifts from Turkey and stay friends with them as long as I can!
We are living in a materialistic and selfish world, but I am so glad that Couchsurfing is a platform to prove the opposite.

Favorite Music: I have recently started to learn Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz dances, so I currently listen a lot of swing bands to try to dance along :) But I guess I listen everything, just put the headphone on my head if you want to make me listen something
Favourite Movies: Hayao Miyazaki. Hayao Miyazaki. Hayao Miyazaki. I want him to be my grandfather
Favourite Books: I am currently obsessed with Norwegian Literature+ Magda Szabo+Kazuo Ishiguro+Necip Mahfuz, its never late to discover good writers!

Despite the current coronavirus panic in the world, I was able to do my first long-term solo trip to SE Asia. I think it was a big personal step to be a more decisive and courageous person.
