Recent Update: I'm trying to be more domestic (stay in US instead of wandering around the universe :P) so I do have more availabilities to host but I'm also out of town pretty often for meditation retreat. I live in Redwood shores of bay area which is almost 1hr drive from San Francisco and 0.5hr from silicon valley (Palo alto, Mountain View, Santa Clara etc). And there's no convenient public transportations other than Uber/Lyft. So if you would like to couchsurf at my place, please do consider rent a car or prepare for the effort of either long commute or expensive ubering. Will be happy to meet you in person, share life stories and create new memories.

A I/ENFP (mbti personality) tech/anti-tech social/anti-social complicate creature, who is currently on her gap year maybe also turning point of the life. Adventurous, outdoorsy, addicted to deep conversations. Holding life philosophy of no free will, living at the moment and being 100% present.

I was born and grew up in China, in a small town close to Shanghai. I moved to united states for grad school and have been working and living in bay area (north california) for 10+ years. Then I quit my job from meta early this year to give myself a chance to live a different life. I started to pick up meditations, life coaching, learning to detach, kitesurfing, solo backpacking, more reading/writing/documentaries. Enjoying meeting people from different background/culture and encountering different perspectives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quit my job in 2023 and started my gap year traveling around the world. As I value meaningful conversations especially with locals when traveling, Couchsurfing seems to be the perfect antidote to that fantasy. 😇
