I was a couchsurfer before it was invented. Once, when I was traveling across Canada, I called up a friend to see if I could spend the night. My friend said, "Sure," but he sounded different, like he had a bad cold or something. As I hung up I realized I had dialed the wrong number. The kindness of strangers...
