ABOUT ME

I am a Taiwanese. Previously I was an ecologist trained in the UK. Now I work in an international center promoting sustainable agriculture and biodiversity for the Asian Pacific region. I like messing around in the kitchen, reading alone on the sofa, hanging out with friends, and solo travelling.

I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and reflecting the world with interwoven perspectives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had several accidental couch surfing experiences (not through cs) which led to long-lasting friendships. This is easiest the best way to connect one another in this lonely planet! I cannot offer a couch in Taipei but I am more than happy to meet up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I first heard CS from my friends I thought this idea fantastic! Since then I have met several great friends through CS. It always adds a special flavor to each journey.

Interests

I like to discover ideas, observe, investigate and experiment. I also like to design and create objects, appreciate beautiful things, practise design and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like novels, particularly philosophical and historical fictions. My favorite author at the moment is Ken Follett. Also enjoy natural writing, travel books (seem to be collecting Bill Bryson along the way), and books about various history.

I love Beatles. I used to collect Classics, Jazz and traditional music but now I love any kind of music that touches my heart.

Movie is my window of the world when not travelling. My recent favorites include The Imitation Game, About Time,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The two years of postgrad study in the UK was the best thing ever so far. It changed the way I live my life and how I perceive the world.
