About Me

I'm a diversely-interested foodie who lives a vibrant, active life. I'm an extrovert, so love to meet new people and participate in group activities but am also happy in my company with my hobbies. I am happiest outside in the sunshine with others doing something active or silly.

I live on the Harbourside in Bristol, a quirky, playful and culturally rich city in South West England. My work as a Machine Learning Engineer is fascinating and enjoyable and allows me to work with some excellent people.

I love the life I have created for myself and thrive on sharing experiences with others. If you're ever in Bristol hit me up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You get a richer experience of a place even with just a few pointers from a local. I prefer meeting new people when I travel to being in a sterile hotel. I am passionate about sharing Bristol's gems and showing people the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually have a few books on the go at a time, a personal development book and something fictional or biographical. At the moment I am reading Delivered from Distraction, and Awaken the Giant Within.

Like most people, I enjoy a variety of music. But mainly listen to UK underground music, D&B, Garage, Breakbeat, Techno, house, disco... I love festivals and some of my favourites and regulars are Shambala, Boomtown and Secret Garden Party.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dancing under the Arcadia Spider at Boomtown with 10,000 other like-minded individuals was one of those 'life is so great' moments. Dressed as the Biker Mice from Mars with not a care in the world, the bass-lines of Krafty Kuts undulated through our bodies for hours as the sun went down and the mood elevated. Words cannot do this justice. If you ever hear of the Arcadia Spider stage anywhere make sure you attend - you will never forget the worlds best stage. Think of it as cross pollination of a Transformer and a fire-breathing-laser-spider with arial performer swinging from robotic arms - even the DJs say it the most amazing stage to play!

The first time I drove since passing my driving test was through Yosemite National Park - this was not a good combination as the stunning views all around are not conducive to keeping your eyes on the road. The scenery was incredible, luscious green fields enclosed in beautifully formed mountains with waterfalls springing up sporadically. The walks to the top of these mountains will remain in my memory for ever.
