About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning German and having fun!

ABOUT ME

I have been working as a Sound Tech for the last 2 years after graduating from music college. I have also toured with a couple of bands traveling over 18,000 miles and visiting 10 European countries in the last 6 months. I love traveling and meeting new people so I think CouchSurfing is the way forward!

PHILOSOPHY

Simply - I do what I enjoy. I love being self employed because it means I am not boxed into one career, I can make a living from things I love such as Web Design, Photography, Filming, Guitar playing and Sound Engineering. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting new people and having new experiences

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with a few hosts over the last 6 months who very kindly took 8 musicians into their homes for a few days each. These saintly people are some of my new favorite people in the world!

Interests

Music, bit of swing dancing, having a drink or two, sound techie stuff and photography (mainly live music but other stuff too).

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much! I love all types of music and am always keen to hear something different. I watch far too many movies (but cannot remember half of them) I do not read alot, but the books I do read tend to be the more factual side of things, Bill Bryson's - "A short history of nearly everything" comes to mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Pass

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Guitar, Music Theory, Sound Engineering, How to survive a 5 month music tour as a Roadie/Techie with a grand total of 7 days off.

Learn: Love to learn a bit more German.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom
