Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Based on my travel experiences, I think it is so helpful to meet/stay with someone who knows their town/city/countryside intimately. Someone who can advise me on the not to miss attractions and places, more obscure places and, perhaps, places to avoid.
Of course, the economical aspect versus staying in a traditional hotel is very appealing as well.
Right now, I am very limited on accommodations I can offer my fellow surfers because I live in a one bedroom guest house. However, that will change in the not too distant future.
