Overview
About Me
Third gen native Texan, father of two adult children and I love to travel. I've never met a stranger but I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to friendships.
I've been married 3 times but this one's a keeper. I met her in 7th grade and knew her through high school. We didn't date until after my second divorce when we reconnected at a fundraising event organized on Facebook.
I learned to fly in '94 and have owned several airplanes. Looking for my next aircraft now. My favorite quote is "A mile of road only takes you a mile but a mile of runway can take you anywhere."
I love staying off the beaten path when I travel and try to avoid chain restaurants, hotels and bars in favor of local watering holes, boutique hotels, bed and breakfast, mom and pop diners/restaurants.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am pretty open about music, like all kinds; rock, country, pop, soul, r&b and some classical. I guess my favorite would be classic rock or southern rock. Not into gangsta rap or smooth jazz but anything is better when it's played live music.
Working from home, I watch a lot of movies. Seen almost everything on Netflix, Hulu, Dish, and Shobox. I've watched everything on HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and Starz at least once. Fave would be mindless action thrillers with plot twists usually involving CIA, FBI etc. but I like most genres. Least favorite would be period piece character studies and political statements dressed up to look like a movie.
Most of my reading is limited to educational non-fiction in relation to my job, aviation or relationship improvement. Read Rod Machado's Instrument Pilot's Handbook. Reading Angular2 by example. Re-reading The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman. The last fiction I enjoyed was some of Tom Clancy's novels, Sum of all fears, Hunt for Red October etc.
