Teach, Learn, Share

If you step on a stingray it really hurts. Put your foot into the hottest water you can stand, add some brandy for good measure. The heat breaks down the venom. The pain subsided in ten minutes and foot was almost normal after a half hour.

Fishermen have told me the leaves from orchids, ground and placed on the wound also helps, "like magic." Luckily I only had one incident with a stingray so never got to test this remedy.

Cambodia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, France, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam
