About Me

Down to earth friendly guy who likes to keep the peace. I love travelling, exploring new territory and I hope to learn something along the way. I recently lived in Indonesia and spent my time teaching English to special needs students and learning the language that is Bahasa Indonesia! Now i'm on to Hebrew which is proving very hard! I have a study background in Social Science and Psychology and I am in the middle of applying for my Masters of Occupational Therapy for Feb 2020 in Aus (exciting times ahead!).

In my spare time, I love being with the family, getting into the hills surrounding Victoria, Australia and camping out. I've recently discovered the benefits of Yoga and I am in LOVE with it. I enjoy tending to my many plants back home, cooking and eating, as well as cracking open a fresh bottle of vino like most! I love attending live gigs, but also love my peace and quiet. I can be a peaceful home bod, or a total extrovert. I love meeting new people, as well as getting to know myself :)

I value integrity, initiative and loving-kindness and I believe that life is short - this is not a dress rehearsal so do it now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing to meet like minded people that might show me a glimpse into their world, culture and home-life. I have a love for travel like many, and am very open to new experiences, different living environments and new cities and places.

I value self growth and learning about who I am, and I believe couch surfing is a great way to help facilitate that. Meeting new people is really important to me, and the sharing of knowledge and ideas that comes with that is one of the many benefits of travelling that I adore, so I'd love to be exposed to environments where this might happen. Better yet, if this gets to occur in a welcoming setting with a glass of vino and a friendly chat about each-others' worlds, then count me in!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Im really into my disco kings and queens like Sister Sledge at the moment. But usually I can be very content listening to anything fro reggae to drum and base to instrumental.

lately I am obsessed with Matt Corby (an australian musician) as well as Trevor Hall.

Movies: Obsessed with the Kung-Fu Panda trilogy, as well as most animations. I love the series Killing Eve at the moment and have also enjoyed watching new Nature Documentaries like One Strange Rock, narrated by Will Smith (weird, I know...but dont knock it until you try it!)

Books: I love Haruki Murakami!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in 2017 I received a pretty crazy government scholarship from the Australian Government that saw me move to Indonesia for just under a year as an ambassador for the Australian-Indonesian Relationship. I enrolled in Uni there (dream come true) and studied Indonesian language and culture, while also volunteering on the side as an English teacher, a spokesperson for a Transgender Community Safe House, and contributed to research done by the Psychology Faculty at my uni. It was an incredible year for me, full of new and exciting experiences that opened up some doors I didn't think would open for me.
