About Me

I'm a pretty easy going individual, you have to work hard to make me lose my temper ;) I'm basically trying to figure out how to not get sucked in to the rat race and carve out a different way of living, at least for the time being. I've visited my fair share of countries around the world but there's something about the UK countryside that really draws me in, so my mission right now is exploring the UK by bike, volunteering along the way, maybe picking up a bit of temp work here and there. I´m particularly keen on staying at some intentional communities, I really want to explore different communal styles of living.
EDIT: So it seems that cycling around the UK in winter isn´t as enjoyable as in summer so I´ve come to Madrid. My new plan is to base myself in Madrid and then head in a general northerly direction as the weather improves, exploring more of Spain and France and probably other countries en route back to the UK. This plan may change at a moments notice though...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, however strange or ordinary, there's always something to be discovered.
Also, once we let a random traveller from Germany stay at our house who we'd met at the end of a club night, I kind of envied his little glimpse in to behind the scenes of our friendship group. I wanna be that guy haha!

Interests

I´ve got my climbing shoes and harness with me in Madrid so if anyone´s up for a climb, I probably will be too.

I´m always up for a little jam session if there are instruments about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm reading east of eden by John Steinbeck right now and it's pretty great.

City of God is a great film! I love Amelie as well ;)

I like all types of music, I guess my favorites are the ones that have stood the test of time.

I play the electric guitar and I like to make music with computer software.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started meditating and generally incorporating mindfulness in to my life... Definitely a game changer.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you wanna learn it and I know it then I'll teach it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel a bit funny about enjoying a strangers hospitality without giving something in return, so I'll 100% cook a tasty meal for whoever is kind enough to host me. Helping clean and generally respecting my host's place goes without saying.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
