ABOUT ME

Have travelled around the world for over 20 years, mostly in mountain places to South America, Asia and Africa. The last 7 years have included my two children. Love meeting new people from different places. Mostly travel on my own with kids, but sometimes my husband comes with us when he is in the country himself.

PHILOSOPHY

Having adventures where you never know exactly how they are going to turn out, but using my wits to make it turn out okay.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a nice part of England with good views of mountains. I am very near the beautiful Lake District and also the historic Hadrians Wall. Am happy to show people around and share our history and landscape!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a few times now and all the couch surfers have been absolutely great! It is such a good experience for my children and me to bring the world to our doorstep! We did a trip to Lithuania cycling the Curonian Spit and were hosted by three families in Kaunas and Siaulia which was brilliant experience - so much more fun staying with a family! We also cycled across Brittany where we stayed with 4 couch surfers - again a very positive experience! Just about to embark on a trip to cycle the Drau River from Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Not found any couch surfers as yet....but taking a tent just incase!

Intereses

Walking in the mountains, play violin (badly), writing, climbing mountains, cycling and running, my children.

I travelled down the Beagle Channel in Tierra Del Fuego and saw penguins.
