About Me

I am practical and spontaneous; fun and serious; talkative and pensive; adventurous and careful; smart and stunned; energetic and lazy. Love art and science; love fiction and fact; love canada and many, many other places; love people and hate religion; love nature but have no pets. laughing is good. i am an ardent, outspoken atheist and a fun-loving feminist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

to make traveling more attainable (it's a basic human right, to see this place!); to share ideas, experiences, knowledge, wisdom

Interests

love: music/dancing, eat and drink, parties, being with nature, shop for obscure stuff at flea markets, being warm, people, art, architecture, theatre, science, fair rides, car rides, motorcycle rides, history, culture, movies, traveling, of course; my beach house in Ontario is the best place in the world, my shared house in Mexico is the second best place! ADORE my grandkids...my family and friends. I love people in general and spend most of my time communing with awesome folks, in one way or other.

Music, Movies, and Books

love most kinds of music but prefer it a bit raunchy or silly; enjoy a challenging read, philosophical, socio-political, both fiction and non; smart, sexy, off-centre movies are best; love anything theatrical, poetic, artistic; i subscribe to travel, feminist, atheist, political and cooking journals and blogs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

flew across canada in a hercules; traveled with a carnival; scuba dived in thailand; watched sunrise in ankhor wat; had and raised a child; helped three babies and their mommies get through the birth process; spent three days with berbers in the moroccan desert; handmade tens of thousands of perogies for my perogy business; held my husband as he passed away; sailed around trinidad and tobago; flew in a glider many times; drove a car through the atlas mountains, rio de janiero, europe, panama and japan; attended the Women's March in DC last year; rode a motorcycle the whole length of croatia - 1600km; renovated a whole bunch of houses....... Retired!

Teach, Learn, Share

learn, teach, laugh, share. time is running out! what an excellent mantra

What I Can Share with Hosts
