ABOUT ME

Hello internet,

I'm Edgar a 30 years old from Haifa, Israel.

Originally born in Lithuania but immigrated to Israel when I was 5. Not very good at describing myself but if you ask people who know me they will probably tell you that I have a good sense of humor (black humor mostly), I make faces a lot... Not something that I can control at this point its just a natural part of my speech that my face changes to reflect my thoughts on the subject and the 3rd thing they might mention is that I am a total geek!

I'm also a big time gamer, have been gaming since I was a child and its a big part of me... Not really into multiplayer games that much (unless I play with friends) and mostly prefer RPG's and strategy games. My favorite games are by the Swedish developer Paradox so if you are a fellow Paradoxian we will probably have plenty to chat about :)

Other things I love are geography, history and psychology as well as geo politics and how these things shape our daily lives. Crazy about cats and dogs and animals in general but have a slight allergy for cats so despite my love for them I am forced to keep a distance.

I speak 3 (Hebrew, Russian, English) languages, except for my mother tongue which is Lithuanian which I completely forgot since I've never used it since I left Lithuania and currently learning German so would be great to meet German folk to practice with :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got hosted twice (don't really travel as much due to fear of flights) for now using CS and it has been great and I have hosted once. Love meeting people with different views, thoughts and perspectives and debating about these.

Getting ready to host people, purchased a real couch for this purpose, currently waiting for it to arrive.

Interests

I have a big passion for animals and all living things, I enjoy watching animals and taking photos of plants and insects if possible since nature is such a good contrast to out urban far from our core life.

My experience has shown me that people who appreciate nature in all its forms tend to be more relaxed and comfortable with themselves and their surroundings.

Besides nature I also have a geeky side, its not as heavy as it sounds. Not a big Star Wars fan or anything but enjoy science fiction (especially cyberpunk!) and fantasy books and video games, I play mostly strategy and RPG games (mostly games by Paradox)
