ABOUT ME
*this is Kyle's girlfriend Audrey filling out his profile.
** Kyle, making some edits August 2015.
Kyle is great. He showers most days. He makes great pancakes and omelets, and if you make a special request, he will not sneak cinnamon into your eggs. By day, he runs an immigration program and is an advocate for the immigrant community. ** (As of August 2015, I am going to law school and no longer work directly in immigration services.)
By night, he does all sorts of useful things, like killing spiders and organizing the garage. If you tie-dye one of his shirts without asking first, he will eventually forgive you. In high school, he was voted "most charming."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS promotes the gift economy in a practical way. Hosting CSers is a joy and being hosted is the best way to learn about a new place.
Interests
*again, this is Audrey. Not Kyle.
Kyle is interested in staying busy. Some days this means a fifty+ mile bike ride, and other days it means obsessively re-adjusting an excel spreadsheet that he hopes will predict next year's March Madness champion (this is a yearly project, as the algorithm has put him in the bottom two of our pool every single year). Kyle is also interested in social justice issues (he runs an immigration program), politics (he is a frequent canvasser), and cooking without recipes. He has three chickens.
** Kyle, August 2015
The chickens are dead. All of them. We ate the original three after they stopped laying and a raccoon killed the next two before we had a chance to do the same to them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*still Audrey
In 2007, Kyle met an amazing woman who changed his life. Unfortunately, Kyle is an idiot and instead of showering affections upon her, he decided to go live on communes in Argentina for a summer. Luckily, that woman was very forgiving, and Kyle learned a lot in Argentina, like how to slaughter a cow and what kool-aid "should" smell like. Since then, the two have traveled the world together, working on farms at at schools in southeast Asia and East Africa.
** Kyle, August 2015
Kyle and that amazing woman had a child, Asher, in September 2014. He's great.
