About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find out where Europe begins, and where it ends

PHILOSOPHY

Only a few things in life really truly matter. Feel free to ask me what they are over a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed lots of wonderful places in Europe. Still getting my feet wet with hosting in the US!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have surfed in Warsaw, Prague, Stockholm, Düsseldorf (x2), Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki, Bayreuth, and Richmond. Hosted 3 people in Boston.

Interests

Love finding unique cafes and pondering life's mysteries over a fine drink. Will party on occasion, but I'm more likely to prefer face-to-face, mind-to-mind interactions with people that can teach me something new about humanity. In between philosophizing and debating the world's meaning I also love to cook and dabble in photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always looking for an independent movie I haven't seen. Some of my favorite recent movies: Das Leben der Anderen (Lives of Others), Children of Men, Volver, Pan's Labyrinth, City of God, Auf der anderen Seite (Edge of Heaven).

Musical tastes hinge on rock, alternative, indie, ambient. If it's got an awesome melody, I'm all over it.

Books, ahh, those wondrous beings - my life requires a lot of boring non-fiction reading, so I don't pick up novels as much as I should. The last two really good novels I read? Probably The Corrections and Mason & Dixon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a pretty mean carrot cake. I can bloviate on German/Polish/East European history - and perhaps put you to sleep in the process! And I've learned a thing or two about human nature.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
