I'm Edie, and I'm new to couch surfing but not new to traveling and a love for the world. I recently graduated from high school and am taking a gap year to travel before I settle into 6 long years of college to become a physical therapist.

My eldest sister has spent the majority of her adult life overseas. I'm on here by recommendation from her and hearing story after story of her adventures. I'm excited to not waste anytime getting to meet interesting new at home and away!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I went to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip with my senior class there was only 15 of us total on that trip. Towards the end we helped in an orphanage in Santiago. I was able to spend most of my time with the toddlers and babies, when the time came for us to leave I had grown a boulder in my chest, and overwhelming feeling of heartbreak left me in tears. I had experienced for the first time a love without words, a love with out explanation, a love for humanity that had nothing to do with my own or anybody else's ability. Just pure love.
