I think it's for all of us the same reason to be on couchsurfing. Getting to know some locals in a new place or be a guide for someone from outside is pretty cool.

a lot of that, but in general i like rock and experimental music (black lips, the dead mans bones, dover etc)
films (those that make you feel good or a little bit more clever after watching them, so definitely no horror movies, rather stuff like: the bucket list, the shawshank redemption, step brothers)
books...always made me fall asleep quickly:/
