About Me
I just love travelling and exploring, thus my lower response rate... But definitely I'll come back to you at least to say sorry and ask how was your trip in my region ;-)
I'm a peaceful warrior.
I'm a life sailor.
I'm a freelancer.
My mission is just to be. To be happy too. And to make other people happy... Getting know my self through getting know the world...
And here's my favorite quote:
"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the Master calls a butterfly. "(Richard Bach)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here, because I like:
- getting know people and their cultures
- sharing my own place, knowledge and experience
- and because CS is cool ;-)
How did I join?
I attended one big party in Istanbul which I passed by only by coincidence. It turned out to be CS party ;-)
Afterwards I signed in to became a CSer to see what's going on in the community...
Since that time I hosted many people, especially when I was living in Kenya and Afghanistan. I was hosted even by more people while travelling all around the world. It's really fun and I love it! It's giving and getting at the same time - sharing is caring ;-)
Interests
Everything, really! Sport, nature, culture, art, traveling, science, technology, LEGO, just name it ;-)
From playing chess up to bungee jumping or climbing mountains (Himalaya, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Roraima table mountain) or kayaking (Zambezi, White Nile and other rivers) or scuba diving (in Indian Ocean or Red Sea)...
At the same time I love to play squash, soccer, basketball, golf...
And I do jogging, cycling and swimming (tough never tried the IronMan...)
Besides "moving my ass" I love to travel and explore different cultures and meeting new people.
Books are also my big passion. Sci-fi, esoteric, geo-politics and history. And books about traveling of course - especially the old ones, when traveling used to be so difficult (these days almost everybody could travel).
And I love comic books and graphic novels ;-)
I'm big fan of movies and soundtracks. I love to explore local cinemas and local movie culture - that could really say a lot about the country and its people... From music I can listen almost to everything but the most I love opera and simple guitar and nice voice a.k.a folk music :P (Justing Vernon / Bon Iver is the best and LP too).
I like Pink Floyd since childhood and many other classic rock bands.
Protest-songs are cool as well, where you can feel the struggle of the composer / player.
Oh yeah and I play guitar and want to start with drums one day.
Theater is also mesmerizing experience, especially opera and ballet.
And there is much more what I like, but I prefer to do things, not to write about them ;-)

I can always read books from Dan Millman or Richard Bach. And I love encyclopedias. And my favorite is sci-fi from old-school (but as well current) authors...

And I like learning new things - always appreciated - I'm like a sponge :D
Teaching is also fine, e.g. languages, cultural habits, sports, geography, nature (my favorite is ornithology)...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Information, knowledge and experience...
And I can make my hosts happy, good feeling and even curious about many other parts of the world, especially Slovakia ;-)
