About Me

Get this: I spent 6 years on Wall Street, and now I'm a party host for the largest pub crawl in SE Asia and absolutely loving it.
I quit my job in New York City and set abroad to travel indefinitely. I'm constantly fascinated by the amount of experience and knowledge there is to gain in the world, the realization I'm barely a speck in the physical universe, and the cultural and natural diversity on our planet -- my goal is to learn as much as possible and share as much as possible with the time I have.
And now I'm starting to host!!! Super excited. Let's make each other's CS experience positively memorable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My philosophy: experiences are to be shared.
I also desire to swap knowledge and culture.
Interests
Impossible to list, but perhaps I can characterize as: anything that challenges the mind, body, and spirit. I'm all about full-body experiences. Traveling, sports, languages, learning, food, teaching, and anything that produces adrenaline.
Recent: Yoga (Actively), Buddhism (Educationally), Photography (to remember all these experiences in great form)
PS: I have yet to host, but I'm super excited about hosting. Currently traveling, but as soon as I settle down, my home is open for CSers!

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently Reading: My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday
Curious next read: Psychology of Love by Sigmund Freud
Last read: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
Read: Ho Chi Minh the Nation and Times 1911-1946 by Pham Xanh
Bible: Vagabonding by Rolf Potts
Favorite movie: Lion King
Favorite music to listen to and play: Anything Classical (Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata - all 3 movements ps I'm still very far from mastering the 3rd...)
Favorite music to sing: Michael Jackson (Rock with You)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One?? Impossible. My favorite activity is integrating with people(s) and especially young children in a local community and connecting with things that are magically immune to language barriers such as sports and music and SMILES.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I'm a natural born finance-head. But I'm a rare breed because after surfing Wall Street, I quit another job at a hedge fund to pursue travel. I know the culture, the myths, the facts, the stories, the jokes, the hatred, the intense egos, and the analogies (Wolf of Wall Street). I'm an open book living a completely different lifestyle now as a traveller. But I'm an open book on all my experiences and I'm down to share
Learn: What differentiates us all, yet make us similar is our personalities. I lean towards nurture vs nature, hence I'm enchanted by individual perspective and experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, a peak into NYC culture, and the passion of a fellow traveler who is still amazed every day by how big and how small the world is at the same time.
