ABOUT ME

Teacher, actor, writer, trainer. Play squash, tennis, snooker. 4 children. Like theatre and film, live music, jazz. I'm running a series of workshops in Drama and Storymaking and Performing which may be of interest to Surfers wanting to improve their English. I work with a theatre company "Theatre of the Dales" performing mostly in the open air - woods, ruined abbeys and parks. I also use my house as a theatre - audiences of 25 or so. I enjoy giving parties with lots of friends from Leeds and CS contacts using live music if I can.
Also I'm trained in TEFL so could give some lessons!
Currently performing a series of rehearsed readings and making films.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering accommodation and looking for it as I travel. There's a lot to see in and around Leeds - big universities, lots of Art/Theatre/Music and terrific countryside. I have enough free time to take you around Leeds and places around (especially the Yorkshire Sculpture Park !!! - see references).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted guests from Holland, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK, China, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Malaysia, Slovakia, Indonesia, Romania, Ceuta, Switzerland, Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Denmark, Greece, Bosnia, Macedonia, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and France. Brilliant experiences. When I used to hitch-hike around Europe with my girl-friend, people were always amazingly kind to us. I want to repay some of that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was 2 metres away from JFK in 1962. Took his photo. He smiled at me although it was a political protest.
A nightmare finding Trump elected. What were they thinking of!??
Brexit almost makes me despair of the UK and its future.
