About Me

Well, I am a human that travels. I also love, many many things. My love with traveling and the possibility of traveling for life started when I left Brazil, where I was born. The sudden realization that people are incredibly similar and that distances between people are just that, distances(m,km,mi) hit me very soon and then I was hooked. I didn't even had to quit a job sell everything...I never even had a chance to walk that path. Once I was struck by the love of traveling that was it. One thing led to another and I found myself in Asia, and became a teacher. I like what I do but to be learning and moving around our globe is what I love most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There comes a time when I guess you have to. If you love traveling, Couchsurfing gives you the chance to get to meet incredible people and share moments that otherwise might just pass you by. I think it is an express link between similar minds. The idea that people are same, same but...same really, is the what makes someone open her/his door to someone else. That very moment to me is the reason why traveling is so interesting. To sit and talk, share a meal, a drink, a moment with another person that is as interested in you just as you are interested in her/him is unique. And my absolute faith in us humans is forever reinforced when it happens.

Interests

I enjoy a lot of things. Basically all types of music. It's going to sound boring but yes, I enjoy all kinds of food, cinema, art...

Music, Movies, and Books

As a kid my most favorite book was: Around the world in 80 days. No coincidence that I travel the world but for way more than 80 days ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been traveling for over 20 years and yes I have done many many amazing things. Granted, my definition of amazing is often a simple moment when a connection with someone else is made.
But as I have to pinpoint something here, one amazing thing that I have done was to become a traveler. I know, it sounds like I am patting myself on the back, sorry :-) In my teen years I was a very very negative person, very unhappy. When I started traveling that all changed. I wake up(very very often) with a smile on my face, happy to be alive to be experiencing things and of course to be on the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

To me life is incredible. There is so much to learn, to explore, to create!
I try to listen and understand other points of view and try to not judge.
The idea that if you do something good, something good will happen to you, in my life is a almost an everyday occurrence. The amount of times I have had unbelievable gestures of kindness done to me is still amazing to me. So basically I go with that: I try to do some good things to others and many many many more good things have come my way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a good guy! Haha, everybody is good, bad and many more things, but if I have to share something:
I am always willing and want to learn from anyone.

ps. The next one is the countries I've visited. I just listed a few there were many more and hopefully there will be more :-)
