About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To broaden ALL horizons.

ABOUT ME

I'm 27. Recently lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. Where I spent 3 years skiing, climbing, and biking while working for Patagonia as their environmental director for the state.

Can't really say what's next. Just seeing what the day brings and if I make it till tomorrow. I really enjoy the mountains and everything to do with them. (ski, climb, bike, gallivant, skip, jump... )

PHILOSOPHY

Live like there is no tomorrow (unless the next day involves a foot of powder, then prepare for greatness).

"Ideas stem from our history, growing from our actions today, becoming our reality of tomorrow."

ANYTHING "bad" can easily be turned into something good with the right train of thought. Tomorrow it will still be bad, so change your idea of the situation. Life isn't grand unless perceived as grand. Why not make it a GRAND one!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to fully appreciate all of couchsurfings benefits, but I'm working on that ;))

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In April, I couch surfed with a friend (who at the time had the CS account, not myself) in Crested Butte, Colorado. We were on a ski trip after finishing the season in Telluride, Colorado. We had an awesome time! The hosts were very fun and outgoing people. They weren't even home when we arrived, however they left the door unlocked and offered us a warm shower, TV, couch, and beer. The next day, they ended up giving us some free tickets to the mountain which were reserved for friends who could no longer make the trip. In short, I had an awesome experience couchsurfing and now, with an account of my own, I would like to continue with the good times!!

Clive Cussler keeps me interested...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove 12 hours from Los Angelas to Salt Lake City through the night. Arrived at 11 a.m., proceeded to hike to the Main Chute of Alta ski resort with two friend in the middle of August (summer) and skied the 1,000 vertical ft. chute naked. Lost one shoe in the crevasse, so hiked out in the other and a ski boot. Felt fantastic to walk away in one piece.

Teach, Learn, Share

To listen is a skill that enables one to be heard.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I offer a card trick, three stories of my life, knowledge of local beers from my home state and others which I've lived in, I only know two jokes, so two jokes, a strong hand shake, and if I can find the ingredients, an American Breakfast!
