I think...), not afraid to improvise, biology professor, bilingual (español, Intermediate Italian), 47 years, loving to travel (but... hating the “stay” (like a dog) reality :-)).

I want to know new friends, I love Europe (been there five times) specially Italy. Iceland is in my bucket list!! Grand Canyon too. Willing to practice Italian (Voglio praticare la lingua italiana).

I live close to the center of the island, like two hours away from San Juan (where the international airport is located), but close to the city of Ponce (south of the island). Transportation here, BELIVE ME IM A LOCAL, is nill, only present in the metropolitan area (Tren Urbano (the metro) & a problematic bus service in the metropolitan area). So if you don’t rent a car I can help you driving an hour (if I can) to pick you up to my place a then leave you in a good spot to hitchhike, for free. Even if I have the time I can pick U up at the airport (two hours drive one way) but for a fuel fee. Many Couchsurfers has been here but you have to have in mind that where I live is very isolated. No bakeries, supermarkets at walking distance, so if you’re going to stay here you have to bring your food, or is better if you help buying some things so I can fix food for both. If I accept you is because I can bring U road trips, hikes, Kayak, local gastronomy, and in week days if I work I can leave you in the colonial City of Ponce and in the evening I’ll pick U up and drive again to my place. My house is a small wooden house in the middle of coffee, plantain and banana plantations.
