COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Mumbai, India in December and was told by a friend of a friend that he was going to be in Pune (which is an 8 hour bus away from mumbai) in two days and that I should meet him there in 2 days in the morning. I trusted his word and booked a ticket. a day before I called him and he said he had just left Goa driving and would be back in Pune before I was. I get on my bus when the time comes and when I got close to Pune, I called him and he told me his car broke down in the middle of the night and wouldnt be back for 3 or 4 days. So I was in a city where I knew nothing, no one, and everyone could somehow tell from my face that although I was indian, I was not from there. I found a cybercafe and luckily found a friend online in the US. I told him to call my mother and my mom came online. She made a few phone calls and within twenty minutes a guy on a scooter came and picked me up. He took me back to a family friends house that I didnt even know about!!! haha, lucked out. they let me crash on their couch and saved me from getting jumped (I was being followed!).

Love to live on the edge....bunjee jump, sky dive, surf, snowboard, swim, workout, rock climb, and play tennis.

I love too many musicians....anything as far as music goes... whether it is you banging your hand against a trash can and me singing....its all good to me. from Reggae to House!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life was when I was in Pokhara, Nepal. Me and 3 friends decided to go Paragliding. We joined our guides and drove up this large mountain, got suited up, and jumped off the side of the mountain. Awesome!! Half way through this amazing experience, a large vulture, With the span of a honda civic, (many of them flying with us b/c they use the hot rising air to glide higher into the atmosphere) crash into the parachute of another paraglider. This older man, maybe only 100 yards in front of me began to scream and as half his parachute collapsed he began to fall rapidly along with the bird trapped as well. As he quickly fell through the sky, my guide and I yelled, "Use the Reserve!" but it seemed to no use. It was at that moment, that I was sure that I was going to witness DEATH before my eyes. Fortunately, about 200 ft from the ground, he threw his reserve parachute and it barely inflated about a 100ft away and he slowed himself down enough not to die. Later, I found out that he broke a few bones in his body but would live. This was one of the most rushing, exhilirating, terrifying, and awesome experiences in my life.
