ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Evelien, I'm originally from the Netherlands but have spent the last 7 years living in Tbilisi, Georgia and now Kazakhstan. I love to travel and meet people from different countries, I also enjoy cooking and baking sweets. I studied political science and anthropology and am also interested in philosophy :)

At the moment I don't have a job, but I'm trying very hard to raise our daughter to be a beautiful and strong individual. Her name is Anna and she is 1 years old, she was born here in Kazakhstan. I hope she will enjoy traveling as much as we do :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

WHY?
Now that we have a baby traveling has become a little bit more difficult. It would be fantastic if we could use couch surfing to meet up with other young families or just cool people who don't mind hanging out with us and our toddler

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hosted some great people in Tbilisi! Unfortunately it is not possible for us to host people in Kazakhstan.when we move back to Amsterdam in August we hope to start hosting again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many great ones in Turkey, China, Morocco, Bosnia, Nepal.. we once hosted a great girl from Iran in our flat in Tbilisi, and we were so happy when we found out that she was living in Nepal when we were traveling there. CS makes the world smaller :)

Tasty things..I love good coffee, cakes, Belgian Beers, French Cheese and good bread.

I don't eat meat and love vegetarian cooking. I'm a true cheesehead but would like to learn more about vegan cooking.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I Love music: older tunes, music from around the globe, indie, punk, music that is danceable.

My dad's a librarian and when I was younger he used to feed me books! I like Nabokov, Dostojevski, Ishiguro,and many others but I have the annoying habbit of reading good books and then forgetting their titles/authors

Have a baby, see The himalayas, India, driving to Georgia, the Caucasus, a Georgian wedding, a baby dolphin..

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you how to bake delicious cakes and pies. I can tell you about life in the Netherlands.. I can teach you how to ride a bike/swim. I can cook you a Dutch meal :)
