About Me

ABOUT ME

As you might've seen, my name is Eva and I'm a Dutch student who is doing her internship in Dublin.
When starting studying at an age of 16, I knew from this young age that there was more for me in this world than only The Netherlands. At age 18 I went to Sweden to proceed my studies over there, and at age 20 I moved to Dublin, Ireland, to do my internship at a company called Temple Bar Trader, where I work as a production&event assistant. My main task is organising 2011 Temple Bar Trad Fest, a traditional Irish festival in january. In this way I'm able to live and work in the beautiful city of Dublin, and at the same time learn something of the Irish culture through my work.

PHILOSOPHY

life is about doing what you as a person need to do, not what society tells you what to do. Be brave and you shall succeed in life. Catch every sign that universe gives you! AND: What you give is what you get, KARMA BABY!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS through some friends I met in Dublin. They've told me that it is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

Interests

What interest me in life is meet people. I love to scroll through my phone list, invite people over or hang out. I also like to organise nice trips or events, bringing people together.
I also LOVE to cook, or get familliar with food from other cultures. Something that makes me happy is; hang out on the balcony with a good glass of red wine!

Music, Movies, and Books

Just recently saw the movie Bloody Sunday, loved it. Next to that I love war-movies and ofcourse Disney ;)! I love electronic music, but some good rock n roll will do me great as well! Since I moved to Ireland, I also love traditional Irish music. The most recent books i read were The Alchemist and Les Miserables.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that I will never forget is my trip to Laponia in the North of Sweden where I went on a dogsledge/snowscooter trip, plus I've seen the Northern Light over there.
