ABOUT ME

I am the roommate of Progressivegan and in the same community as A3W. We live in a large intentional community full of vegans, activists, artists, smelly hippies, crazy folks, dogs, designers, Christians, musicians, pot smokers, cats, queer folks, meat-eaters, buskers, students, writers, conspiracy theorists, underground comedians, zine authors, travelers, punks, anarchists, atheists, snowboarders, keyboarders, grunge kids, libertarians, revolutionaries, oscar fish, gold fish, freegans, alcoholics, political organizers, completely disorganized folks, dreamers, and realists. This is the place where life happens.

I myself: I am a full-time seminarian preparing for ordination in a mainstream Protestant denomination by studying at a mainstream Protestant seminary. Politics: of the left. I do a lot of reading. In fact, I ought to be doing my reading as I write this now.

New Yorkers get a lot of requests. Cut and paste messages will be ignored. I am interested in you, who you are (not just stats), why you want to stay with us in this house in particular, and an openness to learning new things about the world and yourself whilst staying here. The decision to invite you to stay here will be made in consultation with other housemates.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed (via Hospitality Club) in Atlanta a couple of years ago. It was awesome because I stayed with two different people and got to see two very different sides of that city.

Intereses

Theology, supporting the arts, traveling when I have the opportunity, languages, fighting for a different world, music, going to shows, not going to shows, studying studying studying, going to museums, going to see films folks back home would call 'artsy,' riding the L train, being a gadfly, afflicting the comfortable whilst comforting the afflicted, petting the cats & walking the dog, going to house meetings, more theology, writing for a blog, procrastinating generally, writing papers for class, going to chapel, church hopping, church planning & plotting, walking around Brooklyn.
