I'm Egemen from Turkey 🇹🇷. You can call me Ege for short. I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Shanghai, China 🇨🇳. I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering, but that doesn't define my interests alone!

2017
I started using CS while I was having an Erasmus semester back in Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪. I was living in a dormitory (Endla 4, the best in Tallinn, holler if you know it!) so there was not much I could do about hosting people. And my trips to neighboring Baltic countries were in such a rush, I didn't have much chance to meet people from CS.

2018
Graduated from my university in Istanbul. Applied to Chinese universities to pursue my graduate degree. And here I am in Shanghai. Looking forward to starting my CS journey!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'll be honest here and tell the unfortunate truth: I'm a self-paid student with no scholarships whatsoever - making budgets while traveling is my utmost priority to survive.

A better reason is: I believe in karma. I like to give back what others give me. As a concrete example from my life: I help hitchhikers, knowing that one day someone will help me when I hitchhike myself.

And of course, meeting people: Oh boi I enjoy that!
