ABOUT ME

Spent some years in the military which allowed me to visit several countries. Most time was spent in Southeast Asia. I have a passion for Ancient History and would like to explore the European Union now. I decided lately that it was time to get out and get stuff done. We only live once and I'd like to go out knowing I experienced as much as I possibly could. I'm looking forward to continuing my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Be responsible but don't waste your life completely on the mundane and daily routines. Get out there and experience life!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently talking with another member to try and start up a CS group meetup here in Austin possibly once a month. We believe this would allow for a better experience for our visiting friends. We're still working out the bugs but if interested please feel free to contact me.

Interests

Currently trying to learn more about beers and wines. Enjoying riding my motorcycle. Like taking pics but still learning how to use my camera. Ancient History/Classics is a passion...love to learn. Football and UFC but the last 2 years I've gained an interest in Soccer and Rugby (still learning all the regulations though). Meeting new, interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

My iPod contains about every genre of music: Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Country, Classics, Showtunes and even some Celtic. Love all kinds of movies from action, drama, and comedy to musicals and indie films. The last year I'll found myself reading more often then usually. Just bought a Kindle so currently trying to fill it up. Even if it makes me a dork I'll admit my favorite series is Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably taking a jump of the ship and swimming on the surface of the ocean knowing below you is the Mariana Trench. Something about knowing that the ocean floor is 7 miles below you steals your breath a little.
