ABOUT ME

My name is Erik, I am a 38 year old from Los Altos, California, which is in the Silicon Valley. I have spent time at two universities. Syracuse University, in New York, as well as Pepperdine University, in Malibu. I am a fun loving realist who is looking for real/interesting people to connect with. I love sports as well as partying and having a good time. So if you are down with the same hopefully I'll be meeting you soon!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that reality is easily warped by the circumstances of one's common surroundings, which is where I find value in traveling and looking at life from different angles. I also believe in the realization of self through relationships with others.

Interessen

I am very interested in sports, traveling, and experiencing all that I can! I enjoy the American pastimes of football and basketball and over the past couple of years have started to develop an appreciation for European futbol. I love the outdoors and am most at peace above 10,000 ft. without a trail. If you are interested in backpacking I can provide information about many interesting treks in the Sierras.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My music taste is diverse, here's a small taste (2009): Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, Elliot Smith, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, RATM, Oasis, Techno, Good gangster rap, funky 80's jams, I could go on forever...

Movies: This list could be extensive as well, however for now I will state it briefly. I like movies that show different segments of society that I was not brought up around (New Jack City, Snatch, Ghostdog are some examples) I also love 'B' movies and find their low budget presentation amusing and entertaining. I am not opposed to mainstream flicks either and enjoy the classics.

I have traveled extensively in America. Two cross country road treks as well as multiple extended trips into the Sierra Nevada wilderness. I have also traveled through most of Europe (maybe 60%)
