About Me
CURRENT MISSION
one day at a time....
ABOUT ME
Living life to the fullest. Sometimes I get ahead of myself and worry about the future, but remind myself that it's important to live in the moment, one day at a time. Finished school over a year ago, and have enjoyed working and saving up for my next trip...something I plan to do for awhile! I'm pretty easy going, love to laugh, and always enjoy meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a very firm believer in the concept of Karma. I try my best to always do what's right, otherwise I feel the guilt creep up on me right away. I try not to sweat the small stuff, and am very appreciative of the life that I've already been able to lead. Always practice empathy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS, but can't believe I haven't started participating earlier. It's exactly my style of travel, and I like that it encourages a 'neighborly' feel as well as trust between strangers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never participated through this site, but have definitely hosted many friends of friends if people needed a place to crash. It's always been nothing but fun and good times :)
Interests
coffee (drinking and making it), soccer (football!), cooking and anything to do with food, guitar (played over 10 yrs), and of course, traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm bad at listing favorites of things....but I like anything from "The Royal Tennenbaums" to "Pan's Labyrinth" in the movie department. My most recent, and most enjoyable read was "Under the Banner of Heaven" by John Kraukner. I am literally ALL OVER the board when it comes to music...from Led Zeppelin to M.I.A. to Arcade Fire...etc. You catch my drift...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think being at the Sossusvlei Namibia Dunes was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Being on the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town was also absolutely breathtaking. I guess I like to be really high off the ground. No skydiving or bungee jumping for me though! ;-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think one of the most important things I've learned in my life to date, is to remember to be empathetic and put yourself in another's shoes before judging and assumptions take place.
