ABOUT ME

I'm a composer who's still finding it's way in this big world. I wrote already several music pieces, musicals, an so on (check my website: http://Benjamien.be) I'm also interested in computer stuff(I work sometimes as web designer), but that doesn't make me a geek. I do have long hair, but that doesn't make me metal or something ;-). I'm more a classical guy with a little passion for Tango. I play piano, organ. I also sing (Tenor) en conduct.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I guess I'm to young to be able to express a good philosophy. I do open my eyes and ears, and do everything for the best, like everybody should do :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to learn about different cultures and opinion. A pleasant way of educating yourself. I can't host very often because I still live with my parents when I'm in Bruges and only have a very small flat when I'm in London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I did learn a lot of friends over the world and went already in a 'Couch Surfing' way to the south of France (parents both a house there), Amsterdam/The Netherlands (to help in a institution to help people with a handicap), Oregon/U.S.A (guest-families), Riga/Latvia (guest-families), Pune/India (hotel and orphanage to give them the profit of my Musical performances back in 2008)

With Couchsurfing I went to Milano, Barcelona, Girona... and actually never had a bad experience, I made friends for life!

I already hosted friends from France, America, Latvia,...

音乐、电影和书籍

I wrote the following a while ago, I just keep it, because it sounds so honnest and naieve ;-) Philip Glass is my favorite composer ;-) and I do like soundtrack music, for example the music of James Newton Howard en Harry Gregson-Williams. Also other classical music (Felix Mendelssohn) and modern music. I do like BajofondoTango club (Gustavo Santaolalla) but also Daft Punk and somethimes Justin Timberlake to dance ;-)

I'm not much of a reader because of a shortage of time but I did read Lord of the rings, the hobbit, all Harry Potter and some other fiction.

About movies: I'm a freak :-) (also alternative circuit)

I went to see The Book of Mormon (musical) 7 times in 5 months. #LOL
Since 2010 I'm constantly working on wonderful projects (film, opera, musical,...) (more on www.Benjamien.be)
