About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spread joy and love through my art and everyday actions

ABOUT ME

Howdy!

I'm Eileen. I'm a quirky ginger who hails from a small town in Kansas, U.S.A. I love traveling and meeting new people. I've been fortunate enough to travel to nine countries so far, and can't wait to explore the rest of the world!

PHILOSOPHY

A combination of various advice I've been given or heard through the years:

Always do what you're afraid to do. If you aren't always a little bit afraid from what you're doing with life, you're being too safe. So run at the edge of the cliff, fail gloriously, and never be so set in a plan that you miss the opportunities presented to you.

And no matter what happens to you, just breathe... and make good art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couch surfed once, and that was before I had even joined CS. I was traveling with my sister and the host was found through her account.

It was such a rad time! I stayed with a couple and spent the evening making tacos, playing "Risk," and giving ukulele lessons.

Quite enjoyable. I can't wait to Couch Surf again!

Interests

Taking pictures, painting, plays, playing, piano, poetry, people, and occasional alliterations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One evening--in Skagway, Alaska--I was sitting on one of the long docks by myself, playing some Lady Gaga on the ukulele. Halfway through, about 50 yards away, a whale appeared! It stayed around until I finished that particular song, then swam away as soon as I switched to a different artist.

Conclusions:

-Whales like music too.
-Lady Gaga sounds like whale song.
-Nature is awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic ukulele!
