Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New to it but love the whole idea of couchsurfing - benefits everyone - making connections all over the world, sharing stories and making new friends. Travelling solo can be lonely but staying with people who want to show you around/have a drink with you/get to know you, can make staying on the other side of the world feel like home somehow :)

I'm happy doing anything from listening to music, riding a bike around a new city, chilling out on a beach or having drinks with new friends. I'm pretty easily entertained and always willing to give things a go!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to anything that I can sing to really! Love a good old corny ballad to sing in the shower but otherwise Sticky Fingers, a bit of Chet never goes astray, First Aid Kit, Fiona Apple and Cage the Elephant

Sucker for a good rom/com - Chocolat, Love actually are definitely top notch, but grew up with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings

Hoping to make more time for reading on this trip, last book I read would have been Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath but some faves have been 'River of London,' all of the HP series and Big Magic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Cambodia and helped a local orphanage turned school build a kitchen - getting to know the kids was pretty cool :)
